Howdy, y'all! Life is pretty good right now--not perfect, but very good. Things are really looking up. I am still out of a job, but I have two interviews this week! I am feeling pretty positive about them. Also, I have an amazing boyfriend who is the best thing to happen to me. I've felt so much joy and happiness being with him. He lives in South Carolina going to school and will come to visit me in two short weeks! He is amazing and I love him. Long distance will not keep us apart, especially with the wonderful technology of today. One click and boom!
I still miss Taiwan something crazy and would love to go back someday! It is still my home! I miss the convenience and the ease of everything, but I am slowly adjusting to life here in the US. Took me long enough, that's for sure! Ha ha!
I am excited for a Taiwan reunion coming up after Christmas! That will be a real treat!
Happy holidays everyone and I hope you have the best time with friends and family! Much Love!
Four years in Taiwan. Check. Back in the US. Check. Missing Taiwan like crazy. Priceless :(

Thanksgiving Update
This was the first Thanksgiving back in the US! I has been at least 4 years since my last one here. I remember at Berhan Language Institute all the foreign teachers getting together to have a wonderful Thanksgiving party with great food, picture mayhem, and great conversation! It was a party up on top of the roof and it was great :)
This Thanksgiving, I spent my turkey day at my sister-in-law's parents' house in Brigham City, UT! We drove up in the early afternoon and reached her parents' house. I had prepare two delightful quiche and brought them to the feast! It was great hanging out and talking with her family (some of them I'd not seen in 5 or 6 years), playing with the kids, and literally stuffing my face. Talk about eat your heart out! It was great.
The clatter of the football game in the background and the glassy-eyed guys staring into the game, the smell of hot and fresh food, the two little dogs playing around and almost killing each other, the screams of delightful playing from the kids running around inside and outside, the peace of being with family, and my full stomach was such a delight.
It feel picked up my mood and it was a great Thanksgiving! YUM! It was more than I could have asked for.
I am excited for this holiday season and being around family.
I am thrilled :)
Hope your Thanksgiving was as delightful! I give thanks to you, my friends!

I can't believe it's been so long and then again, I can
Well, here is a blog. The last one was about a year ago in Taiwan. Now I am back in the US, living in Utah. My parents were living in CA before, but it is their dream to retire in UT. Go figure. I was excited to be able to move back here, although I miss Taiwan something awful! I am looking for a job here in Utah, but it's hard without a car. My one consolation is that I have many friends and family here in Utah. But now without a car, I feel very isolated. It is strange going from living in Taiwan, surrounded with many friends and easy ways to get around, to living here, where the bus only goes through (not around town) Springville 1-2 hours. Sheesh. I am actually have a really hard time. I hate this kind of time period where everything sucks and I am depressed. I wish I was in Taiwan, I really do. But for now, I am going to stick it out and try to make the best of it.
